[Untitled] is a game inspired by the symptoms of Alzheimer’s Disease where players assume the role of an old robot trying to keep a mining platform operating in the far future. Players will perform tasks to maintain the platform, all the while experiencing glitches that distort or hamper their ability to interact with the environment. Influenced by personal experiences with family members and research, the gameplay is designed to help people develop empathy and understanding of the experiences their loved ones are going through. This is done by presenting players as fully capable of completing tasks and actions, and then gradually taking away their different abilities, either through modifying the game level, removing feedback, or in manipulating one’s perceptions.
